Henderson's INSPIRADA is the newest Master Planned Community, was recently announced. This "new urbanism community" will feature dense, pedestrian-friendly neighborhoods, village squares, 10 community parks and 322 acres of recreational space. The community will feature 7 villages and a 300 acre Town Center, which will include a luxury resort casino, retail and high-rise office buildings. The developers are planning to offer single family homes, town homes, mid-rise condominiums, all of which are designed to attract residents looking for a small town community within the growing city of Henderson. Home prices will be in the $300,000 - $800,000 range and will be developed by 7 major Nevada homebuilders.
Henderson, located just minutes from the Las Vegas Strip and McCarran International Airport, is one of the country's fastest growing cities. Projects totaling more than 230,000 square feet have been added recently, with several new projects on the drawing board.
Henderson was incorporated in 1953, with a total population as of July, 2005 of 243,897. The projected population for 2010 is 310,000 people. Henderson occupies the southern rim of the Las Vegas Valley, stretching from east of Boulder Highway to east of Interstate 15. Special features include level desert, access to the Colorado River, Lake Meade and Sloan National Conservation area, Black Mountain and the River and McCullough Mountains. |
